Mid-Term Review

After my mid-term review of my progress so far in studio class, my crit told me that I have very good clean drafting skills which he appreciates very much. He also appreciates my attendance in class as well as my promptness with my work. He did, however, feel that I am too conservative and that I need to be a little more "wild" with my designs. With that being said I have gone back to redevelop my Student Center with the hopes that it will, 1) Better the design of the Student Center itself to better portray my ideals, 2) Lead to a relationship that can be carried over to the next phase of the project which is the Dormitories.

Monday Pin Up

After todays pin up, which I was up most of the night doing, I have a chance to reflect on what my critic told me. He told me that I need to think more about the space inbetween the buildings and think about the buildings as secondary to the space. I also need to think more about the structure of the building and the interaction between the buildings and the space inbetween them.
